Breast Cancer Awareness Month/I Go Pink Campaign

I was so honored to be asked to do a campaign for the Breast Cancer Charities of America.
When they first reached out to me and asked me if I was interested,
I told them tell me what you need and I’ll be there no questions asked, because it is a cause very close to my heart.

This month is Breast Cancer Awareness month, but every day, every month, every year we lose incredible mothers, wives, daughters, sisters, aunts, friends the list is endless to this cancer. Breast cancer is the second leading cancer in women, exceeded only by lung cancer, that is a horrific reality.
The good news is early detection is key and that is why it is important to perform self breast exams and if we notice anything out of the ordinary to see a Doctor immediately.

A huge shout out to everyone who put so much into this campaign,  my dear friend and genius behind the lens who is Nick Saglimbeni,
Gaby Ramos (make up) Al Ingram (hair) the whole slickforce team, and last but certainly not least the beautiful Lia Shahrebani for putting it all together.

I hope with time and more awareness, these numbers will drop significantly and dare I say we’ll live in a world that will be free of breast cancer and all cancers? Here’s to hoping.

787 Exit & Iconic Boyz get emotional to see them leave

I’ve been doing ABDC for 6 seasons now, and I can tell you it doesn’t get any easier to see the crews leave.
I really had to fight back the tears this week, especially having spent so much time with the all the crews, and 787 this season.
Not to mention seeing Iconic Boyz come in to say goodbye to them really messed me up, thank goodness I managed to keep it together in front of them.

Here is the elimination video for this week ABDC Ep 5

2nd Place in The Mercedes Benz Worlds First Twitter Fueled Race

I know they say it’s not always about the destination, it’s about the journey and  to enjoy the ride along the way.
Unfortunately for me, I haven’t always applied that saying in my life because coming in 2nd has never  been an option for me.

However in the Mercedes Benz Tweet Race I can honestly say it did become about the journey.
During the 4 days we raced across the country from New Jersey to Dallas, to raise money for Reverend Runs Charity (who was my team coach), and to support my charity  Operation Homefront who I was doing all this for, I learned so much about myself.

We fought ice, snow and extreme weather conditions, I even ended up in a Memphis Hospital on Day 2 of the race suffering from dehydration and caffeine poisoning (who knew there was such a thing?!) we saw a few fatal accidents along the way, and in my heart I was just praying to God we’d make it to Dallas alive at that point.

There was no way I was giving up though, I was doing this for our incredible troops who fight and put their lives on the line for us every single day, this was the very least I could do, to support a charity that supports them.

There is no way I could’ve done all that without Julissa Bermudez who was the most amazing partner I could ask for, and I know I have a friend for life in her after what we went through together, if only you could see the yelling, screaming, crying, laughing and bonding we did together on this road trip!

And last but certainly not least, oh my gosh the outstanding support we got on twitter, the amazing individuals that followed our ups and downs every day for 4 days, and sat transfixed at their computer screens to tweet us and give us the tweet fuel we needed to get to our destination.
I was truly moved by the incredible support, and it opened up my eyes as to how generous and kind people can be.

Here is a picture from the day we arrived in Dallas, Julissa, Stephen Cannon VP of Marketing for Mercedes Benz, Reverend Run and I,
and the check we received for competing in the race for our team  coach Reverend Runs Charity.

I will never forget this experience! Thank you so much to all those that went above and beyond to show us so much love, I am forever grateful.

Sophia Loren

My all time favorite beauty.
I wish they’d make movie stars like they used to.

Comic-Con

I’ve been hyped about going to Comic-Con for a minute, but now I may have to go out of town,
which may mean no Comic-Con for me :(
but I got my costume a while ago and intend on wearing it whether I make it down there or not!

I used to collect Comic Books when I was younger, but because I moved so much I stopped collecting. I was a huge Punisher fan and still am.
I’m thinking of reviving my old time hobby again.
Do you collect any comics and if so which ones?

In the mean time here’s a sneak peak of my Comic-Con inspired get up
Incase you haven’t already guessed I’m Power Girl ;)
I’m kinda digging being a blonde for the night

More pics to come

Thank YOU

Hi lovelies,

Just wanted to write a quick note to say thank you so much for all the support and love.
I really enjoy reading your emails, comments and even more so I love surprise calling you guys :)
I came across this picture of me at CES over a year ago, and John who’s in the picture came up to me and asked me to take a picture with him,
of course I said Yes!
He was so sweet and we had a brief chat, and it’s those kinds of moments when I connect with you guys that makes me so grateful for all the  support.

So basically what I’m saying is, if you ever see me out and about please come and say hi, okay?
I’m the one that is appreciative of you for taking the time out of your busy day to reach out to me.

Hope you and yours have a safe happy 4th of July weekend.
I became an American Citizen a couple of years back, so I’ll be celebrating my freedom from those loony Brits too ;)

Hannity Encore

That man Hannity, he makes my heart flutter I tell ya.
He’s such a handful, definitely no pun intended.

I was back on the show today, and let me tell you, there is never a dull moment with Sean.

I feel like I’m a pretty tough cookie, so it doesn’t bother me in the least to be challenged, or ridiculed for my views I feel like it only makes me better and stronger, not to mention, the person that is challenging me to a battle is actually helping me.
It doesn’t matter to me whether I win or lose, as long as I learn and grow.

The beauty is, in life we’ll be right sometimes, wrong sometimes and unsure sometimes. Sometimes we’ll be victors and sometimes we’ll be losers, but the great thing is we can get up and dust off for the next fight, and start all over again, as we gain a little more knowledge and experience along the way.
To know is to know that we do not know…everything.

Here are some pics from tonight

p.s I bought Sean a vintage Playboy with Bo Derek on the cover (she’s a Republican)  as a fun joke
(in the past he’s said on the show he doesn’t look at that stuff & has said he’s never watched any adult movies)
there’s also a great article about Ronald Reagan in there too, but he didn’t want it, he said he doesn’t read that filth :(
Not gonna lie I was a little bummed out because I’ve never had a gift returned before, and I went through a lot of trouble to get my hands on that particular Playboy, not too many Republicans have graced it’s covers, and I wanted to get him one that had a Republican theme going, thinking he might see the humor in it, however he wasn’t terribly amused. So I guess he is a man true to his word…in public…I kid I kid!
Besides I don’t think someone would be less of a person for reading Playboy but meh that’s just me.
Regardless, I do like Sean and it doesn’t bother me one bit that he busts my chops, quite the opposite I enjoy it.

On the bright side I’m gonna keep it, and I think I’m gonna start collecting vintage Playboy’s, they were so much cooler back in the day, but I could do without the Bushes…
accidental double entendre eh? ;)

Holy Smokes

And I thought I’d seen it all…

My girl crush

Out of no where, Gemma Aterton came along and rocked my world.
Any time this woman comes on the screen I am enamored by her striking beauty, I can’t stop staring at her!
In my eyes, Gemma is pure and utter perfection.
There are rumors that she’s in the running to replace Megan Fox in Transformers 3, and if that rumor turns out to be true I’ll be the first in line to that movie opening.
Incase you don’t know who she is, here’s a picture of Gemma. She’s a real life Goddess.

If I was Miss USA 2010, I’d say “so what?”

Today I stopped by my boo’s radio show The Covino and Rich Show on Sirius/XM and Rima Fakih the new Miss USA also swung by the show.
There’s been some controversy surrounding her as of late, because right after she won the Miss USA pageant, pictures of her pole dancing fully clothed appeared online that you can see here

Now I certainly don’t think this picture is one I’d show to my grandma, God rest her soul she was blind so she wouldn’t be able to see it anyway but that’s not the point, Rima said on the show today that these pictures were from some sort of pole dancing class/contest that a radio show friend of hers was putting on.
If you take a close look at the picture in question, you’ll see that there’s a bunch of women in the audience, so there’s not a bunch of old pervy men oggling at her but that’s not the point either.

Maybe it’s just me, but since when did we become a bunch of self righteous hypocrites? She’s a 20 something year old young woman having some fun with her girlfriends, fully clothed in what looks like to be gym clothes, yet young women wear less that that every day.
She’s Miss USA, not a Pulitzer prize winner.

I guess I’m missing the outrageousness of all this.
The only time I take issue with anyone is when they preach a holier than thou attitude and then turn around and end up being the biggest hypocrite.

This girl is just a young woman having fun, not doing anything terribly immoral and is probably having the time of her life right now being Miss USA
If I was her I’d say “so what! I was having fun with my girlfriends, messing around & it was very innocent, end of story”
It’s definitely not an ideal situation but there are people out there doing a lot worse.

On a random note Rima recognized me by saying her little 16 year old brother has a poster of me in his bedroom, I couldn’t stop blushing!

What do you guys think about all this controversy? I love hearing your pov’s
