Six Flags Great Adventure New Jersey

Anyone that knows me can tell you I’m a huge adrenaline junkie, I’ll try and do anything that scares the living day lights out of me!
I’m on the East Coast right now so when I found out there was a Six Flags here I thought I’d make the most of my trip  by going to Six Flags Great Adventure in New Jersey .
My best friend Emma was also here all the way from London, so when I asked her if she wanted to hit up the theme park, she was totally down,
Might I add, she’s 10x more crazier than me when it comes to living on the edge ;)

Let me tell you, I’ve never been on a ride crazier than Kingda Ka in my life! there’s a pic of  us below in front of the ride just before we got on it.
Do you see the crazy angle?! basically it’s straight up and straight down, it’s 456 ft high & you’re going at a speed of 128 mph.
When I got off the ride I was just glad to be alive, and surprised I was after going on that!

I think my favorite ride of all was El Toro it was scary but not like lose 5 years off your life scary like Kingda ka.
After a full day of being scared witless, we decided to try our luck on the boardwalk games before we left, neither of us ever wins anything but we thought we’d give it a go anyway.

Low and behold on our first try at this shooting game, we won by knocking down all the cups! Our prize was the coolest looking stuffed white tiger  you’ve ever seen! We were so stoked because we never win anything, I was jumping around like a mad woman screaming “We won! we won!”

It was such a blast, and after a long day we headed back to town and on our way hit up a restaurant in Montclair, New Jersey.
I’ve posted a video of King da Ka so you can see how insane it is.
What’s your favorite theme park/ride?

Hannity, Subway and Fish & Chips, all in a days work

I am in New York City right now for work, family, and for fun. Cool combo right?

Well today I went to see news talk show host Sean Hannity, and did a stint on his American Panel airing May 7th on Fox News Channel 9pm EST/PST

A friend of mine gave me a little flack for going on the show,  but I’m a true believer that you can disagree with someone on their politics and like them as a person.

Why does someone have to be deemed a  good or bad person, just because we don’t agree with their point of view?
(assuming that these people are some what sane & not inflicting harm on others)
I’ve met Mr Hannity multiple times now, and even though we bust each others chops, he has always been very personable and kind to me.
So I can only speak from my own experience, and say he’s quite funny and lovely as a person even when the camera’s aren’t rolling.

Ok on to the next, after the show, I decided to hit the subway, because I’d never taken a train in NY before.
On my journey I met a very interesting  NYPD officer and we had a nice chat about everything from favorite tv shows to the recent oil spill, after we were done conversing I stumbled upon an English Fish & Chips shop in Greenwich Village
Stopped off there, got some grub,
then popped into the connecting British Shop next door and picked up some English Chocolate.
Jumped back on the subway  to Times Square, walked to Port Authority and caught a bus to New Jersey.
It was quite the adventure in a medium sized nutshell ;)

Here are some pictures from the evening

Much love to you and yours

Time flies when you’re having fun

Wow. I can’t believe it’s May 2010 already.

I was re-organizing my iphoto and found this picture from May 2009 at the MTV Movie Awards.
It was so much fun, I was with my ABDC Fam, and my dear friend Jason Kennedy from E! News was my chaperone because my boo was stuck in NYC.
(The awards were in Los Angeles)

Gold Class Cinema’s First Class Service

I like to think I’m not a foo foo type of woman.
I’d much rather shop at Forever 21, purchase an economy plane ticket than pay ridiculous first class prices (unless my job is paying of course) ;)
and I still steal ketchup sachets from fast food places and store them in my fridge!

Don’t get me wrong like the next person I like nice things, but I’m just as happy with a Gucci Bag  as much as I am with  my $10 clutch that I got from a NY street vendor…ok, Maybe not just as happy but close!
Material things are not the be all and end all for me, I can go with and I can go without.

However I’m not going to lie when it comes to a good time, I don’t mind dishing out, like vacations, concerts or anything entertainment related etc
because memories to me, are priceless.

So when I heard about goldclasscinemas.com I knew I had to give it a try.
This place has plush seats that recline, they bring you  blankets and pillows, and wait for it, you press a button and they bring you food
(full service menu) and they serve alcohol! Gold class ftw

Then I read $22 a pop for a ticket and I was thinking heck to the nooooo!
but my curiosity got the best of me and I said to myself, check it out once and see what it’s like.
I went to see How to train your dragon in 3D tonight and let me tell you this place is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G
and lucky for me Tuesday’s is 50% off food & drinks so for 2 people our whole tab with movie and dinner was $80
Not too shabby for dinner and a movie for two.

They only have theaters in Illinois, Texas and Pasadena ,CA but I’m sure they’ll be opening more.
If you boys want to treat your special lady to an awesome date night be sure to check it out and let me know what you think.
Here I am at the theater with my 3D glasses  looking like the proud nerd I am and here’s a vid  below so you can get a feel of what it looks like.

The Dominican Republic

I’ve been fortunate enough to have traveled to many amazing countries,
However there’s one that really stands out to me and that’s The Dominican Republic.
I fell in love with the DR, from the people, the food, the scenery…
it’s one of the most incredible places I’ve ever been to.
A lot of people told me not to leave the resort for safety reasons, which was insane to me, because if I’m going to go to another country
I want to discover the culture, and immerse myself in it! Otherwise you can stay on a resort any where in the world and not know the difference.

Needless to say I ventured out of the resort, and met the sweetest warmest people that embraced me with so much love, and invited me into their homes.
I made quite a few friends there that I still keep in touch with.
I’m sure there are dangerous parts in the DR too, but there’s dangerous places in every country!
I just trust my instincts.

Here are some pics of my adventures to one of my favorite places in the world.
If you haven;t been and get a chance to, you definitely should :)
